A good material handling system (MHS) is a fundamental part of a flexible automation, manufacturing and distribution system since it interconnects the different processes supplying and taking out raw material, work pieces, sub products, parts and final products. Due to the automated nature of the whole production and distribution process, the MHS must respond in concert with timeliness for all requirements of the processes and systems.
In order to ensure higher efficiency and error-free operations, integration between different components in the material handling design is a key requirement. A well planned and implemented Material Handling Design address industrial automation issues by taking general requirements and specifications and providing an integrated solution. Integrated Solutions are value-added functions that often require project engineering, documentation, procurement of equipment, hardware and software, installation, testing, commissioning and supportWith manufacturing, 3PL, FMCG, and retail activities at an all time high in India, companies are seeking out for providers who can plan, design, build, implement, and service best-in class material handling solutions. However, the Indian market is at a nascent stage in the automation sector and there is a dearth of providers who can implement end to end solutions involving design, build, and operate capabilities
ThinkLink, in partnership with Muratec Japan, designs, manufactures and installs complete Turnkey Material Handling Solutions. Our MHE solutions include conveyors, pick-to-light systems, voice-directed picking, storage rack and shelving, sorters, WMS software, and packaging equipment. We design integrated material handling systems tailored to the specific needs of each customer, and carefully consider the total system during each phase of project development. We pride ourselves with extensive industry experience to develop a material handling system design and a comprehensive set of performance and bid specifications.
Our Solution Methodology consists of the following phases:
Business and Operations Evaluation : This is the first step in our automation projects which forms the baseline of the engagement. During this phase, we perform a detailed analysis of your operations and technology/automation requirements
Solution Design and Proposal : Based on the initial analysis, we develop customized solutions with different options and propose the design to our customers. During this phase, we revise the design and proposed solution until the final agreement
Systems Engineering : this phase, the proposed solution is engineered to meet the customer requirements. This includes simulation models based on different combinations of MHE and layouts using the Systematic Layout Planning Methodology (SLP)
Procurement : Sourcing of MHE and technological infrastructure takes place during this phase
Installation : Our teams work together to install all the MHE and supporting systems and ensure that the agreed upon design is at par with the final assembly
Ongoing Support : We provide continuous support and if required, deploy a full-time team of experts on site for a certain period of time depending upon the customer requirements. In case of "Design, Build, and Operate" engagements, we operate the MHE for a pre-decided time period and then handover the operations to the customer in a phased manner
Systems Upgrade : To keep up with the technology and automation trends, we also assist with up gradation as and when required to ensure world class performance in operations and delivery
